I was at work and trying to act up-beat when people came in. I could see a lady about to come in and was going through what I would say to her when she did. It got all scrambled in my brain, so when she entered I said "How!" really excitedly and there was an awkward pause while she tried to figure out how to respond and I tried to figure out how to redeem myself. All I could come up with was "How!...are you?" It sounded really stupid.
